Delegation from Angola's Ministry of Petroleum visits UEG

Dr. Alcides Santos, State Secretary of Ministry, National Director of Petroleum in Angola, and a delegation from the Angolan National Agency for Oil, Gas and Biofuels (ANPG) visited United Energy Group (UEG) on August 8th, 2023.

UEG is an international energy company with assets across the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia, including Pakistan, Iraq and Egypt. It has over 2,000 employees from more than 40 countries. The Group cooperates closely with the governments where its assets are located to develop indigenous hydrocarbon resources and invest in sustainable social investment projects.

Mr. Alcides Santos thanked UEG for its hospitality. He said the meeting was important for developing Angola's energy sector against the backdrop of the recent oil and gas blocks bidding round in the country. He noted that UEG, with its access to the latest technologies and strong management experience, is the type of strategic partner that Angola seeks. UEG and the Angolan delegation hoped that the meeting would enhance mutual understanding and lead to opportunities for further cooperation.

Mr. Alcides Andrade, Head of the Negotiations Directorate of ANPG, introduced the recent oil and gas blocks bidding round in Angola. He said that Angola's roadshow in China aims to actively seek partners to further develop the country's energy sector. Through this meeting, UEG strengthened its cooperation with Angola's Ministry of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas. UEG will continue to deepen its communication with governments and partners. In line with its mid and long-term strategic plan, the Group will actively explore high-value business opportunities in the oil, gas and clean energy sectors to achieve its vision of being a high-growth, medium-sized international energy company.
